My Favorite Actors and Actresses

OK, here is my list of my favorite actors and actresses. By the way, can you say actress anymore. I am noticing a trend towards saying actor to refer to either sex. I have no problem with this, as it is correct but I wonder if the trend will further evolve to the use of Mankind or other generic terms. I think that unless one is simpleminded, most people understand the use of the male term to represent both sexes. I suspect some know-it-alls over the past 30 years thought they would eliminate bigotry or encourage women into male dominated fields by the use of different terms. All the women I know are perfectly capable without the help of these social engineers.

Oh, well on to the list. These are my favorite, not necessarily the best. Could be a longer list but I limited it. By far the best of all time is Jimmy Stewart, but for recent years:

My Favorite Male Actors:

1. Tom Hanks-he’s the everyman
2. Steve Carel
3. Kenneth Branaugh-great actor that brought the love of Shakespeare to the big screen.
4. Pierce Brosnan-I want to be like him. 007
5. Mike Myers-adolescent humor but brilliant-Austin Powers Rules
6. Patrick Stewart-make it so!
7. Russell Crowe-great actor whatever you think of him
8. Sean Bean-cool dude
9. Nicholas Cage-another everyman
10. Alan Rickman-underrated
11. Denzel Washington-great actor
12. Johnny Depp-weird but talented
13. Michael J. Fox-born same day as me
14. Jim Carrey-talented in many ways

My Favorite Female Actresses:

1. Kate Beckinsale-smart, and very pretty, marry me now!
2. Gwyneth Paltrow-Beautiful, smart, and classy
3. Angelina Jolie-Beautiful and not a bad actress, wow those lips
4. Ashley Judd-beautiful and smart
5. Reese Witherspoon-great actress, great person
6. Emma Thompson-used to be married to Kenneth Branaugh
7. Dakota Fanning-young but very talented
8. Catherine Zeta Jones-a natural beauty

"Every Girl's Crazy 'Bout A Sharp Dressed Man"-ZZ Top

A special shout out to my friends Thomas Mahon and Lucy Adams at English Cut--Earlier this year I was surfing the net and came across Mr. Thomas Mahon'’s blog on bespoke suits. I have always wanted a Savile Row suit. Really, I am between sizes and nothing seems to fit perfectly. Also, the English fit seems to be good for my slimmer profile. I met Mr. Mahon in New York City for my initial measurements and order placement. Well, you may not know it but you don't get the suit right away. You need another “"forward"” fitting or two. I traveled to London for my forward fitting (which was really an excuse to tour around a bit). The suit looks great so far and I had a great time in London. I was even privileged to have lunch with Lucy. Lucky Me!

I am traveling to New York City in a few weeks with my brother for another look at the suit! It seems a little self indulgent, but I can really tell this is the kind of suit that will be worn many times and stand the test of time. Please check out his blog. It is one of the best out there.

Alabama Football!

Alabama beat the Florida Gators 31-3 a few weeks ago and it keeps on rolling. It's been a long time since I've seen the fans so happy. Rama-Jama, Yella-Hamma, Give um He__, Alabama!

The First Post

Well, here is my second Blog. My first is Pediatric Dentistry

I wanted to have a site devoted to a more personal picture of my interests, which are many and varied. This site is dedicated to my wonderful children whom I love more than words can describe. God Bless them both.

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." —John 10:10

Let's Roll

Let's Roll was the Flight 93 call to action against the Terrorists on 9-11 by Todd Beamer.

Also, it is similar to the call of Alabama football fans: Roll Tide Roll!
